This app turns off the screen after a few seconds when the proximity sensor responds without putting the smartphone to sleep.

Mainly when playing location-based games, it will prevent accidental taps in your bag or pocket, reduce burn-in on the organic EL display, and cut down on screen display power, which should save energy and extend the battery life.

Similar apps already exist, but all of them immediately turn off the screen when the proximity sensor responds, and most of them malfunction and turn off the screen when calling up the top swipe menu (quick settings panel). So, I made a version that improved on that point.

■Notes as of October 2023

As of October 2023, the power saving mode of "Nobunaga's Ambition: Departure" is a specification that burns in organic EL, so we strongly recommend its use. The latest Dragon Quest Walk and Pokemon GO have power saving mode that prevents organic EL burn-in, so it seems safe to not use it.
